Created in 1992, the Naturex Group is focusing the Food market by producing vegetable extracts with flavour, colour and antioxidant properties. Initally split in two production sites (France and Morocco), the Naturex Group has constantly grown by extending its activities to the nutraceutical and then the pharmaceutical markets, and its production and distribution sites across the world (USA, Italy, China, Poland, India, UK, Spain…).

The Naturex Group counts currently a total of 15 production sites, on several continents, allowing the production of several tons of vegetable extracts per year.

The Naturex Group is a key player of the vegetable extracts global market and then needs to control every steps of the formulation process, from the raw material to the final ingredient. Each delivery of the raw material is sampled and deeply analyzed. Naturex Group production facilities allow its customers to receive tailor made formulations and to adjust chemical and physical properties of their ingredients, in order to adapt them to the market specificities.

Our approach

In order to optimise its (created or acquired) local subsidiaries management, the Naturex Group decided to deploy a Group global common Business Solution (ERP). The choice of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (formerly known as Navision) has been defined quickly, thanks to its international abilities dedicated to multi-countries mid market companies.

A NAV2009 Core Model has then been created, and migrated to NAV2013R2, allowing the Group to share the same master data, to ease the Group Reporting and then improve the steering of the Group activities (e.g. : Monthly closures have been sped up and  made reliable.

The Core Model, currently deployed within HeadQuarters and every single Group subsidiary, is available to equip new local susbsidiaries in the future.

• We have selected Microsoft Dynamics NAV as our Local Subsidiaries’ Group Core Model, also as an alternative to our Tier-1 Central. Dynamics NAV is currently implemented within 25+ countries and will cover 40+ at the end of the project.

• The technical platform of Microsoft Dynamics NAV allows us to import easily and efficiently an important volume of data on a daily basis coming from our multi-countries and multi-currencies e-Commerce website.

• The high involvement and commitment of Dynamics International resources on our Dynamics NAV project has allowed us to efficiently implement the Group solution within our 13 local subsidiaries. It helped managing each country’s specific activities (bookkeeping/finance) through a direct interface with our Group internal business solution.

• Microsoft Dynamics NAV Bookkeeping and Finance functions have convinced us of the relevance of this ERP solution regarding our international context. The solution efficiency allowed us to keep a cost effective team size at Finance Department level, in order to manage the growth of our 35 countries subsidiaries.
